Scanning Tips & FAQ
How does letter+digit detection work?
Every Pakistani prize bond serial is printed as 1–3 letters followed by exactly 6 digits (e.g. AF230350, BJ455251). The scanner detects this exact pattern — denomination numbers, dates and draw numbers never appear in this format, so phantom reads are eliminated.
What is Serial vs Ring check?
Serial (4 digits) checks 100 combinations; Ring (3 digits) checks 1000 combinations — useful for checking an entire ring of consecutive bonds at once.
How do I calculate tax on a winning bond?
Use our Prize Bond Tax Calculator — 15% for filers, 30% for non-filers.
