How to Use the Prize Bond Tax Calculator

A practical explanation of the calculator inputs, output and limits.

Reviewed: 22 September 2026

Before you calculate

Open the tax calculator and enter the gross prize amount. Choose the filer status that applies to the estimate shown by the tool.

Denomination-specific prize calculators

Start with the all-denominations prize-money hub, or open the calculators for Rs. 100, Rs. 200, Rs. 750, Rs. 1,500, Rs. 25,000 Premium or Rs. 40,000 Premium. Each substantial page covers first, second and third prizes instead of splitting closely related searches across thin pages.

Reading the result

The calculator separates gross prize, estimated withholding and estimated net amount. It does not determine your tax status or replace a certificate issued by a paying authority.

Rates can change

Tax rules and rates are time-sensitive. Always compare the rate displayed by the calculator with current information from the Federal Board of Revenue or a qualified adviser before relying on it.

Example workflow

  1. Confirm the prize amount from an official draw record.
  2. Select the applicable status.
  3. Review the displayed rate.
  4. Calculate the estimate.
  5. Keep the result as an estimate, not a payment guarantee.
